While building a dataset for our research on program synthesis and proof checking, we came across a second use for it: finding the implementation that actually belongs to a given scientific paper.

A paper without runnable code is a claim, not a result. Mora treats the distance between the two as a search problem.

For six years this was largely handled by Papers With Code. Meta sunset it on 24 July 2025 with no notice, and the replacement tracks trending papers rather than task-by-task state of the art. The archived data has not been updated since. The problem we described in 2018 is, as of now, unowned again.
